As a Child Life Specialist at Providence Health & Service, you will play a vital role in supporting children, teens, and family members in the healthcare setting. Your expertise will help provide developmentally appropriate play/recreation and activities, education, and preparation for medical procedures, as well as emotional support for the child and family.

We are seeking a highly skilled Child Life Specialist to join our team and contribute to our mission of caring for everyone, especially the most vulnerable in our communities.

To be successful in this role, you will need a Bachelor's Degree in Child Life, Child Development, Early Childhood Education, Family Studies, or a closely related field. Additionally, you will require child life specific clinical training experience in a pediatric medical setting and be trained in child development principles and the impact of illness and hospitalization on children and families.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide developmentally appropriate play/recreation and activities for children, teens, and family members

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Child Life, Child Development, Early Childhood Education, Family Studies, or a closely related field
  • Child life specific clinical training experience in a pediatric medical setting
  • Trained in child development principles and the impact of illness and hospitalization on children and families
  • National Certified Child Life Specialist - Association of Child Life Professionals
