Facilities Coordinator for Auction Operations

Altec's auction division, JJ Kane Auctions , is seeking a dedicated Facilities Coordinator . This role involves overseeing our operational sites and supporting the planning and execution of auctions. Responsibilities include managing vehicle logistics, ensuring smooth lot flow, maintaining the facility year-round, and adhering to all safety and environmental standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Track and manage inventory for all lots entering and exiting the site.
  • Assess inventory and estimate selling values.
  • Collaborate with customers and sales teams during equipment removal post-auction.
  • Coordinate with Sales and Operations teams to streamline auction processes.
  • Partner with the Safety and Environmental manager to ensure compliance with all relevant regulations.
  • Manage offsite holding yards, including inventory status and equipment audits.
  • Ensure all necessary training and inspections are current.
  • Maintain cost efficiency across locations and oversee expenses.
  • Travel may be required up to 50% of the time until new locations are established.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Required Education, Experience, and Skills:

  • High School diploma or GED is mandatory.
  • A Bachelor's Degree is preferred.
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in auctions or heavy machinery/equipment knowledge is required.
  • Familiarity with utility, construction, and aerial device equipment is advantageous.
  • Proficient computer skills, including Word and Excel.
  • Valid driver's license is essential.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and navigate utility equipment.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Capability to work collaboratively with team members and independently.
  • Attention to detail is crucial.
  • Customer service orientation is necessary.

If the selected candidate possesses qualifications that exceed the standard requirements, the job level may be adjusted accordingly.

Compensation and Benefits:

The salary range for this position is between $55,000 and $65,000.
