POSITION TITLE: Care Coordinator

COMPENSATION: $22.00 per hour to start, with scheduled increases following a 90-day evaluation period.

Right at Home Eugene is a recognized, locally operated organization dedicated to delivering high-quality and compassionate assistance to our clients in their residences. Our mission is to cultivate an exceptional team of care providers who excel in their roles every day. We are currently seeking a dedicated individual for the Care Coordinator role.

ROLE SUMMARY

The Care Coordinator is responsible for a variety of tasks including scheduling, human resources, and additional office responsibilities, while also providing direct care in the field as necessary. This position involves conducting assessments for new clients in their homes and performing regular supervisory visits to ensure quality care. Responsibilities include adjusting care plans, maintaining medication records, and assigning caregivers to clients. The role also requires answering phone calls and managing after-hours communications as needed.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Demonstrate exceptional telephone communication skills.
  • Assist with scheduling tasks as directed by supervisors.
  • Provide personal care and supportive services to clients in the field as required.
  • Participate in on-call scheduling for weekends and weeknights as applicable.
  • Support recruitment efforts by tracking incoming inquiries and coordinating training for new hires.
  • Manage incoming and outgoing correspondence.
  • Prepare onboarding materials for new hires and client care documentation.
  • Maintain office supply inventory and order supplies as necessary.
  • Process payments for accounts payable and assist with general bookkeeping tasks.
  • Prepare medication administration records (MARs) and liaise with healthcare providers.

QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS / AVAILABILITY

  • High School diploma or equivalent with a minimum of two years of relevant business experience.
  • Proficient in office software and possess strong organizational skills. Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities are essential.
  • Familiarity with common medical terminology is preferred.
  • Able to work independently and exercise sound judgment.
  • Prior experience in caregiving is required.
  • Experience in scheduling is advantageous.
  • Must possess a valid Driver's License and have access to a vehicle.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

  • Primarily office-based with responsibilities in the field as a caregiver.
