Georgetown University seeks a highly skilled and dedicated Assistant Athletic Trainer to join our team. As a key member of our Sports Medicine department, you will be responsible for providing top-notch medical care to our student-athletes, ensuring their health and well-being on and off the field.
Key Responsibilities- Provide initial injury and illness evaluations, referrals, and follow-up care to student-athletes
- Manage injury rehabilitation, taping, and bracing, as well as administer over-the-counter medications
- Collaborate with coaches, trainers, and medical staff to develop and implement injury prevention and treatment plans
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of medical records and injury reports
- Adhere to the NATA Code of Professional Conduct and Sports Medicine Policies and Procedures
- Bachelor's degree in Athletic Training or related field; Master's degree preferred
- Current NATABOC certification and District of Columbia Athletic Training Licensure
- Ability to work confidently in crisis situations and demonstrate knowledge of safety practices
- Strong organizational and communication skills, with ability to work effectively with diverse constituencies
- Valid driver's license and good driving record
