Job Summary

Bering Straits Native Corporation (BSNC) is seeking a highly experienced Senior Technical Trainer - CIMIC to support the Global Peace Operations Initiative (GPOI) security assistance program in Zambia. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting peacekeeping-related contract training requirements and working closely with government and military partners.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct various peacekeeping-related contract training requirements specified in the Statement of Work (SOW)
  • Work closely with government and military partners to build international peacekeeping capacity in Zambia
  • Develop and deliver training programs to foreign security partners, military, and civilian personnel
  • Provide technical assistance and support to peacekeeping operations in Zambia
Requirements
  • Minimum of seven (7) years U.S. or foreign military experience, including service after September 11, 2001
  • Demonstrated military experience as a civil-military cooperation (CIMIC) practitioner
  • Relevant military operations or foreign security force (police or military) capacity building experience in the last 5 years
  • Experience as a trainer to a foreign security partner, military, or civilian
  • At least one deployment to a combat, peacekeeping, or other contingency operation as part of a civil affairs, engagement, Human Terrain, or other CIMIC-related team
Preferred Qualifications
  • Completion of a U.S. or foreign equivalent recognized FET or civil affairs course for land forces
  • Experience working in sub-Saharan Africa
Work Environment

The job is performed in an office setting with exposure to computer screens and requires extensive use of a computer, keyboard, mouse, and multi-line telephone system. Occasional travel may be required.

Supervisory Responsibilities

This position is self-managed and works at the direction of the government and is directly related to the business operation supporting the customers objectives.

Additional Qualifying Factors

As a condition of employment, you will be required to pass a pre-employment drug screening and have acceptable background check results. If applicable to the contract, you must also obtain the appropriate clearance levels required and be able to obtain access to military installations.
