Position Summary:

We are in search of a driven and enthusiastic Field Sales Supervisor who possesses a knack for inspiring teams, generating enthusiasm, and nurturing the skills of new sales recruits. This leadership role entails overseeing the daily functions of a designated Subscriber Sales team, responsible for marketing internet services to residents within our residential portfolio, with a focus on expanding revenue and customer base in the New York City area.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Achieve and surpass weekly and monthly revenue and subscriber targets for the assigned territory while ensuring the team meets similar objectives.
  • Identify, source, and participate in potential subscriber acquisition initiatives (including door-to-door outreach, in-building events, and lead generation) to fulfill personal sales and revenue targets.
  • Complete administrative responsibilities related to tracking sales activities and ensure team compliance with these tasks.
  • Allocate approximately 70% of work to field activities and 30% to office responsibilities.
  • Assist in the recruitment, hiring, and training of Subscriber Sales personnel in collaboration with market leadership.
  • Establish clear expectations and hold team members accountable for meeting activity and sales standards consistently and fairly.
  • Identify knowledge gaps within the Subscriber Sales team and create plans to address these deficiencies.
  • Collaborate with leaders from Marketing, Subscriber Services, and Customer Success to achieve business objectives.
  • Oversee the payroll process and ensure timely and accurate approval of commission payments.
  • Address employee relations matters, including performance evaluations, coaching, and training.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by market leadership.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 2 years in Outside Sales or a related field.
  • Strong project management capabilities with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced setting.
  • Expertise in leading, guiding, and developing Subscriber Sales personnel.
  • In-depth understanding of Starry's product offerings and value proposition in the New York City market.
  • Maintain current knowledge of the marketplace, including competitors, while fostering positive professional relationships.
  • Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
  • Proficient technical and computer skills.
  • Willingness to travel to assigned territories and company facilities using reliable transportation.
  • Ability to work outdoors for extended periods in various weather conditions.
  • Familiarity with various consumer and commercial communication devices and software applications.
  • Availability to work non-traditional hours, including evenings and weekends.
  • Accurate documentation skills.

Work Environment:

  • Combination of field and office settings.
  • Exposure to outdoor conditions, including inclement weather.
  • Travel required throughout the metropolitan area.

Compensation includes a base salary of $65,000 plus uncapped commission, with final salary determined by experience, education, and training.
