Job Overview

Hire Military Talent is seeking a highly skilled Electrical Systems Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient, safe, and reliable operation of our manufacturing control and electrical systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Electrical System Maintenance
    • Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting of electrical and control systems equipment, including 480V electrical power distribution, instrumentation, motor controls, VFD's, Servo's, I/O devices/modules, PLC's, HMI's, and control networks.
    • Identify and resolve electrical system issues to minimize downtime and ensure optimal system performance.
  • Control System Troubleshooting
    • Utilize advanced troubleshooting techniques to diagnose and resolve complex control system issues, including PLC's, HMI's, and VFD/servo systems.
    • Develop and implement effective solutions to prevent future system failures.
  • Training and Support
    • Provide training and support to technicians on the use of plant floor automation systems, including electrical schematics, programming software, meters, and other electrical test equipment.
    • Assist in the development and implementation of training programs to ensure technicians have the necessary skills to perform their duties effectively.
  • Collaboration and Communication
    • Work closely with operations and maintenance team members to ensure effective communication and collaboration on electrical system maintenance and control system troubleshooting.
    • Develop and maintain strong relationships with team members to ensure a culture of safety, quality, and productivity.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience
    • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
    • Minimum 5 years of experience in electrical system maintenance and control system troubleshooting.
  • Skills and Knowledge
    • Working knowledge of RSLogix 5, RSLogix 500, RSLogix 5000, Studio 5000, Wonderware, FactoryTalk View Studio ME, and Panelbuilder.
    • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks effectively.
