Job Description

GE Aerospace is seeking an experienced Advanced Staff Engineer to join our team in the Shop. As a key member of our Engineering team, you will play a critical role in the design and development of our RISE Open Fan Program, focusing on polymer composites.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support and contribute to the design and development of the RISE Open Fan Program, with a focus on composite design, test, and manufacturing.
  • Collaborate with the Dowty Team on-site in England, providing composite design, test, and manufacturing support.
  • Contribute to system-level work on other areas of the RISE Open Fan demonstrator supported by the Dowty Team.
  • Travel from the on-site location in England to the United States home base in Cincinnati and other test sites in Europe, such as Poland.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering from an accredited university or college.
  • Experience in design engineering, with a focus on composite component design.
  • Desirable qualifications include a Master's degree in engineering, composite design, test, and manufacturing experience, strong oral and written communication skills, and leadership skills.
