Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Staff Engineer Composites Design to join our team at GE Aerospace. As a key member of our Compression Systems and Structures team, you will be responsible for the mechanical design, manufacture, and delivery of composite hardware used in the development and testing of next-generation narrow body jet engines.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with minimal supervision on the design and analysis of complex composite structures, applying sound engineering principles and following business standards, practices, procedures, and program requirements.
  • Share technical guidance and expertise to support the achievement of other team members working on complex tasks; coach others in the organization.
  • Ensure proper documentation of technical data generated for the assigned hardware.
  • Create action plans to address issues and problems.
  • Provide strategic guidance to fulfill technical and program requirements.
  • Contribute as a presenter or reviewer in technical and program reviews with internal and external customers.
Requirements
  • Bachelor of Science in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering from an accredited university or college.
  • At least 5 additional years of experience in a Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering position.
  • Experience in design of polymer matrix or ceramic matrix composite parts.
