Job Overview

Levy is seeking a highly skilled Director of Purchasing and Supply Chain to join our team at Audi Field in Washington, DC. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for purchasing and managing high-quality, cost-effective products to delight our guests.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead all location-level facets of buying, warehouse management, payables adherence, and inventory control.
  • Collaborate with operations and culinary teams to achieve budget and performance goals.
  • Proactively manage vendors to ensure timely delivery and optimal pricing.
  • Maximize the utilization of Levy's purchasing and supply chain system.
  • Oversee and mentor junior purchasing team members.
  • Work with the Home Office to set up new vendors, ensuring they meet necessary insurance and safety standards.
  • Regularly complete and rotate inventory to minimize loss.
  • Manage order delivery schedules and pricing lists.
  • Conduct inventory on a regular basis to ensure accurate tracking of products.
  • Manage product storage and rotation.
  • Complete annual performance and mid-term reviews for on-site purchasing teams.
  • Manage hiring processes for team members.
  • Hold pre-shift meetings with the purchasing team.
  • Manage product transfers and requisition sheets to ensure accurate tracking of products.
  • Process Concur actions.
  • Ensure accurate keying of invoices.
  • Lead the management and maintenance of all Birchstreet processes and data.
  • Work with partners on sponsorship deals to ensure a win-win outcome for both Levy and the partner.
  • Work with culinary and operations teams to optimize cost of goods.
  • Forecast items with vendors.
  • Identify slow and dead stock items, working with culinary and operations teams to address the issue.
  • Work with operations teams to load product to locations.
  • Provide opportunity buys for new menu items.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience in a Purchasing/Supply Chain role.
  • High level of computer literacy.
  • Passion for hospitality, food, and retail.
  • Excellent interpersonal and stakeholder management skills.
  • Operational experience in food and beverage is preferred.
