Job Title: FPGA Developer

We are seeking a highly skilled FPGA Developer to join our team at Booz Allen Hamilton. As an FPGA Developer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and testing complex digital systems using Field Programmable Gate Arrays (FPGAs).

This is an exciting opportunity to work on cutting-edge projects that require expertise in digital design, algorithm development, and FPGA programming. You will work closely with our team of engineers to design and develop innovative solutions that meet the needs of our clients.

Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop complex digital systems using FPGAs
  • Develop and test algorithms for digital signal processing
  • Collaborate with engineers to design and develop innovative solutions
  • Work with benchtop equipment, including Oscilloscope, Spectrum Analyzer, Arbitrary Waveform Generator, and Vector Signal Generator
  • Develop and maintain documentation for digital systems and algorithms
Requirements:
  • 3+ years of experience in digital design through HDL and schematic layout
  • Experience using AMD Vitis and Vitis tools
  • Experience with Digital Signal Processing mathematics and implementing in synthesizable HDL
  • Experience with benchtop equipment, including Oscilloscope, Spectrum Analyzer, Arbitrary Waveform Generator, and Vector Signal Generator
  • Secret clearance
  • HS diploma or GED
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with RF signal propagation chain configurations, and scientific analysis software, such as MATLAB
  • Experience with tools for FPGA development, including Intel Quartus
  • Knowledge of RADAR and Electromagnetic Warfare, including EA and Electronic Support (ES) concepts
  • Knowledge of commercial RF and digital component and assembly distributers for rapid prototyping purposes
  • Knowledge of wideband RF signal acquisition and generation concepts and development processes with FPGAs
  • Knowledge of embedded Linux and RTOS development, including PetaLinux, U-Boot, yocto, BitBake, and OpenEmbedded, or device tree components
  • TS/SCI clearance
  • Master's degree in EE
Clearance:

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements.

The projected compensation range for this position is $75,600.00 to $172, annualized USD.

The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen's total compensation package for employees.
