We are in search of a Mid-Level Mechanical Engineer who possesses expertise in the design of Military Standard Electro Optical Systems. This position entails the creation of robust enclosures and the assurance of environmental durability for Electro Optical systems utilized in demanding military conditions.
- Engage in the mechanical design and development of Military Standard Electro Optical Systems, with a focus on enclosure architecture and environmental safeguarding.
- Collaborate with senior engineers and interdisciplinary teams to comprehend system requirements and specifications.
- Produce comprehensive designs, schematics, and specifications for ruggedized enclosures and system components utilizing CAD software.
- Participate in environmental assessments and testing to guarantee adherence to military standards (e.g., MIL-STD-810).
- Contribute to innovative approaches for thermal management, shock and vibration reduction, and electromagnetic interference shielding.
- Coordinate with suppliers and manufacturing partners to facilitate prototype creation and production of enclosure components.
- Offer technical guidance and support to junior engineers and team members.
Requirements:
- Ability to obtain and maintain Secret Clearance with potential for TS/SCI.
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
- 5+ years of experience in mechanical engineering with familiarity in Military Standard Electro Optical Systems.
- Proficiency in CAD software such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, CATIA, or Pro/ENGINEER.
- Fundamental understanding of mechanical design principles, materials, and manufacturing methodologies.
- Interest in environmental testing standards and protocols.
- Collaborative mindset, problem-solving abilities, and meticulous attention to detail.
Compensation:
$140,000 - $160,000 annually
