Position Overview

As an Advanced Systems Engineer, you will engage in the comprehensive analysis, design, development, and implementation of both new and existing systems and subsystems. Your responsibilities will encompass:

  • Architectural Design and Requirements Engineering, ensuring that system specifications are met.
  • Overseeing technical activities and ensuring timely and budget-compliant completion of assigned tasks.
  • Designing, developing, analyzing, documenting, and supporting the testing of products, systems, or subsystems.
  • Utilizing computer-aided engineering tools and other design/analysis software to enhance performance.
  • Regularly reporting on progress and status to stakeholders.
  • Reviewing customer specifications and requirements to develop optimal designs, with cost considerations as a priority.
  • Providing input on budget, cost, and schedule for design assignments.
  • Specifying and evaluating supplier components, subsystems, and services.
  • Supporting program design to cost and manufacturing requirements.
  • Developing prototypes to mitigate key development risks.
  • Communicating effectively, both in writing and verbally, with colleagues and clients as necessary.
  • Participating in the preparation of less-complex proposals.
  • Offering technical knowledge and assistance to fellow engineers and support personnel.
  • Upholding and promoting the mission, values, and culture of SES Government Solutions.
  • Attending relevant engineering, customer, or business meetings.
Qualifications
  • A Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related technical field, or equivalent experience, along with a minimum of 2 years in the field.
  • Demonstrated technical expertise and domain knowledge.
  • Ability to work independently and effectively.

This role requires an active DOD security clearance or the capability to obtain such clearance promptly after starting employment.
