Job Summary:
This role is pivotal in facilitating departmental initiatives, including the ability to work autonomously on various tasks. The incumbent will manage programs, events, and projects that promote the objectives of the unit. The primary focus will be within the Cross Cultural Center for Excellence, a key segment of the Office of Inclusion and Diversity.

Temporary Employment Services (TES) is a division of the Auburn University Department of Human Resources, designed to fulfill the temporary staffing requirements of the university. TES recruits qualified temporary staff across diverse roles to support campus operations. Temporary positions are typically filled for reasons such as:
  • Covering for regular employees on leave
  • Providing additional support during peak workload periods
  • Assisting with special projects
  • Seasonal employment
  • Addressing urgent staffing needs

Key Responsibilities:
1. Oversee departmental projects as directed by the Office of Inclusion and Diversity supervisor.
2. Gather, create, analyze, and distribute relevant materials.
3. Collaborate with team members and/or student employees to enhance ongoing programs, particularly within the Cross Cultural Center for Excellence.
4. Act as the primary contact for various assigned initiatives.
5. Provide in-person support to students, student employees, and student organizations.
6. Facilitate communication and networking among project participants and various stakeholders.
7. Attend relevant meetings and support committees and working groups.

The ideal candidate will embody a collaborative spirit and be eager to engage with both internal and external stakeholders, including administration, alumni, parents, students, and faculty. A strong passion for higher education and student support initiatives is essential.

Additional Notes:
  • This position may require working evenings and weekends.
  • Routine deadlines are expected.
  • Work volume may vary seasonally and predictably.

  • Occasional exposure to demands and pressures from individuals outside the immediate supervisor.
Minimum Qualifications:
A four-year degree from an accredited institution is required.

Expectations: Proficiency in standard office software such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Master's degree is preferred.
  • Experience in student services, support, or affairs.
  • Familiarity with inclusion-related initiatives.
Salary Range: $19.00-$20.50/hour

Work Hours: 7:45 a.m. to 4:45 p.m.
