Job Title: Workshop Facilitator - FSET

Centers for Independence is seeking a skilled Workshop Facilitator to provide workshops and seminars to program participants related to basic computer skills and employment skills.

Job Summary:

The Workshop Facilitator will provide training programs in a clear and concise manner, develop working relationships with customers, and monitor engagement and progress. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's Degree in a related field, two years of experience in training delivery, and excellent organizational, written, and verbal communication skills.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide workshops and seminars to participants related to basic computer skills and employment skills.
  • Develop working relationships with customers and monitor engagement and progress.
  • Creates Lifework curriculum units and supplemental components to existing curricula.
  • Prepare materials for training sessions and presents training programs in a clear and concise manner.
  • Develop and use expertise to address special issues affecting participants.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university in a related field.
  • Two years of experience in training delivery, public speaking, or presentation delivery.
  • Excellent organizational, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work with customers in a caring and respectful manner.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience working with individuals with barriers to employment.
  • Current Non-Violent Crisis Intervention certification.
Work Environment and Physical Requirements:

The work environment and physical demands described here are representative of those that an employee may experience or must do to successfully perform the essential functions of the job.

Must be able to remain in a stationary position for an extended period of time. Occasionally lifts, carries, or otherwise moves items weighing up to 25 pounds. Work is constantly performed in an office environment.
