We are seeking a highly skilled Human Resources Generalist to join our team at Packaging Corporation of America. As a key member of our HR department, you will be responsible for providing administrative and human resource generalist support to our manufacturing facility, ensuring effective application of all human resource activities.
Key Responsibilities- Recruitment and Hiring: Coordinate the recruitment process, including sourcing and screening candidates, and developing and maintaining relationships with community outreach programs.
- Employee Onboarding: Plan, coordinate, and implement new hire employee orientation process for hourly and salaried employees.
- Employee Relations: Monitor employee turnover and implement appropriate programs to help reduce turnover, and serve as the plant's FMLA coordinator and a point of contact for all leaves of absence.
- HR Administration: Enter electronic employee data in the Human Resources Management System, support hourly employee training, and maintain training records.
- Performance Management: Support hourly performance evaluation process and tracking of training records, and monitor and respond to all unemployment claims.
- Education: Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field, or two (2) years of relevant Human Resources experience.
- Skills: Strong communication and interpersonal skills, strong working knowledge of PC applications, and strong organizational skills with the ability to handle numerous details, deadlines, and requests.
- Experience: Two (2) to four (4) years previous human resources-related experience in the manufacturing industry, demonstrating knowledge and understanding of employee relations, recruiting and selection, employee orientation/training on human resource matters.
- Competitive Salary: $55,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year.
