  • Proactively identify engineering challenges or opportunities, applying technical expertise to devise and present viable solutions.
  • Address and investigate engineering issues for prompt resolution, utilizing vendor or manufacturer expertise to tackle equipment and facility-related challenges.
  • Support maintenance and inspection activities on plant equipment in accordance with established procedures, sound engineering practices, and cGMP standards.
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives, troubleshoot complex issues, conduct deviation investigations, perform root cause analysis, and implement CAPAs and change control measures.
  • Manage the site-approved lubricant database and the electrical panel schedule database.
  • Oversee the annual vessel inspection and passivation/electropolish program.
  • Coordinate and evaluate contractor and vendor activities, ensuring adherence to company standards while interfacing with relevant personnel.
  • Assist in identifying new equipment requirements, including type, size, construction materials, throughput, operational conditions, physical dimensions, necessary utilities, and waste management needs.
  • Maintain effective communication channels to manage stakeholder and end-user expectations.

Qualifications:
Skills:
  • Ability to organize and deliver technical presentations to engineering teams, cross-functional departments, and management independently.
  • Familiarity with Reliability Maintenance and Right First Time (RFT) methodologies.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills, enabling effective collaboration in a team-oriented environment across all organizational levels.
  • Ability to cultivate trust and respect through effective relationships across functional units.
  • Commitment to team goals over individual objectives, sharing expertise to enhance collective knowledge and skills.
  • Receptive to feedback and diverse perspectives, approaching situations with objectivity.
  • Exhibits professionalism and serves as a role model for others.
  • Self-motivated and detail-oriented, capable of managing personal and team commitments while demonstrating a desire for continuous learning and improvement.
  • Strong presentation skills, able to articulate sound reasoning and data effectively when recommending actions.

Education and Experience:

B.S. or M.S. degree in Engineering (preferably Chemical, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering) with over 5 years of relevant experience in the pharmaceutical, chemical, or petrochemical sectors. Experience must include at least 1 year in a GMP-regulated environment.
