Nurse Practitioner

Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our team at South Peninsula Hospital. As a Registered Nurse, you will provide high-quality patient care to our residents in our Long Term Care facility.
Responsibilities:
- Provide skilled nursing assessments and direct care to residents
- Take an active role in planning resident care and ensure the quality of care given
- Administer medications/treatments to residents; oversee, monitor, and coordinate care performed by assigned staff
- May be required to provide nursing care in other nursing departments of the facility to meet resident/patient care needs
Requirements:
- A minimum of one (1) year experience in Gerontology, preferable in a Long Term Care facility
- Speaking, listening, and writing skills required to effectively communicate with others, and to document care provided
- Ability to complete computer documentation
- Obtains and maintains competency in IV therapy per facility policy
- Must complete General and Licensed staff orientation for LTC
