Job Title: Registered Nurse

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our team at South Peninsula Hospital in Homer, Alaska.

Job Summary:

The Registered Nurse will provide high-quality patient care in our 9-bed Emergency Department, utilizing the Nursing Process and adhering to the standards of the Alaska State Board of Nursing and the American Nurses Association.

Responsibilities:
  • Deliver direct patient care to patients of all ages, including neonate, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric.
  • Assess, treat, and care for patients, utilizing the nursing process and following the Nurse Practice Act.
  • Coordinate patient care activities with other healthcare team members, directing and coordinating care given by LPNs, CNAs, nurse graduate preceptees, and nursing students.
  • Perform all duties in a manner that supports the team concept, collaborative caring, and reflects the philosophy of the Emergency & Outpatient Services Department and the mission of South Peninsula Hospital.
Requirements:
  • Graduate of an accredited/approved School of Nursing.
  • One year Registered Nurse experience in an Emergency Department setting, with 3 years preferred.
  • Must be able to read, write, and speak English clearly.
  • Must be able to prioritize multiple tasks and work with a variety of healthcare team members effectively.
