Database Administration Support

Planned Systems International (PSI) is seeking a skilled Database Administration Support professional to join our team at the National Renewable Energy Laboratory in Denver, Colorado.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide database administration support for the Department of Energy Facility Information Management System (FIMS), Condition Assessment Information System (CAIS), and NREL's Integrated Workplace Management System (IWMS) databases.
  • Support the Space Coordination Team with day-to-day operations.
  • Assist with fiscal year end requirements.
  • Maintain and update FIMS database as needed per DOE requirements.
  • Provide FIMS and AAIM annual standard and adhoc reports as requested.
  • Work with SMEs on data validation for each data element and gather all required source documentation.
  • Assist with planning and managing all real property assets as required by DOE and providing the department with accurate asset inventory.
  • Maintain and update CAIS database as needed per DOE requirements.
  • Assist with FIMS to CAIS uploads as needed to maintain the accuracy of critical data elements.
  • Perform annual walkthroughs and annual asset management services to maintain data as it changes or is created.
  • Assist with annual facility condition assessments, including but not limited to: coordinating schedules with Facility Managers (FM's) and subcontractors, providing assessment reports to FM's, and coordinating in brief and out brief assessment meetings.
  • Coordinate with Supervisors and Chief Leads to maintain and update the Master Asset List as required.
  • Experience with creating cost estimates, RSMeans experience preferred.
  • Provide support for NREL's IWMS database Workspace, including but not limited to: maintain and update Workspace data as needed, monitor Workspace support email box, manage Workspace move requests, Space, Move, and Space Reservation modules.
  • Update and maintain the accuracy of the graphic floor plans in Workspace.
Requirements:
  • Relevant Bachelor's Degree in Architecture or Interior Design and 5 or more years of experience or equivalent relevant education/experience.
  • Registration as a licensed architect or similar relevant certifications desired.
  • Must be able to obtain NREL site security access.
  • Must pass background, reference, and drug screen.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Department of Energy FIMS and CAIS databases.
  • IWMS / CAFM database administration (FM:Systems, Archibus, Tririga, etc.).
  • Strong leadership, project management and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to use various computer software programs.
Physical Demands:

Physical demands and working conditions are those of a typical office environment, including sitting and using a computer for extended periods of time.

Physical effort such as lifting, pulling, or pushing is generally not required. Position requires close vision, namely for use of computer and reviewing documents.

Position requires occasional travel and outdoor field work, including exposure to weather conditions, traversing uneven or sloping terrain, and exposure to hazards related to logging operations such as slash and equipment.
