Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Finance Assistant I to join our team at Amador County. As a key member of our finance department, you will be responsible for performing routine clerical accounting activities, maintaining financial and statistical records, and providing exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine clerical duties in the maintenance of financial records
  • Make arithmetical tabulations and process financial documents
  • Assist with the processing of files and documents, including invoices, bills, and purchase orders
  • Operate automated systems to produce reports, summaries, and notices
  • Provide customer service and respond to inquiries regarding County taxes and fiscal records
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • One year of full-time experience in bookkeeping or comparable financial or accounting program support
  • Knowledge of general clerical accounting practices, modern office practices, and customer service principles
  • Ability to learn specialized fiscal operations, track and reconcile information, and perform routine clerical accounting duties
