Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Direct Support Professional to join our team at Devereux Advanced Behavioral Health. As a Direct Support Professional, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in achieving their full potential.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist individuals with daily living activities, such as personal care, meal preparation, and household chores.
  • Administer medication as prescribed by a licensed healthcare professional.
  • Implement and adhere to individualized Behavioral Support Plans to promote positive behaviors and outcomes.
  • Document progress and maintain accurate records of individual's activities and behaviors.
  • Participate in community-based activities, such as job training, volunteer work, and social events, to promote socialization and skill-building.
  • Transport individuals to and from day program, as needed.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's degree in a relevant field preferred.
  • One year of experience working with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
