Job SummaryWe are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Direct Support Professional to join our team in New Jersey. As a Direct Support Professional, you will play a vital role in providing support and care to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, helping them to achieve their full potential and live fulfilling lives.
Responsibilities- Provide direct support and care to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, including assistance with daily living tasks, personal care, and behavioral support.
- Develop and implement individualized support plans to meet the unique needs and goals of each individual.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care and support.
- Provide a safe and supportive environment, promoting independence and autonomy for individuals.
- Participate in ongoing training and professional development to enhance skills and knowledge.
- 21 years of age or older
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Valid driver's license
- Experience working with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (preferred but not required)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform Safe and Positive Approaches
- High level of comfort with hands-on hygiene care (including diapering and showering)
