Job Title: Licensed Veterinary Technician

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Licensed Veterinary Technician to join our team at Banfield Pet Hospital. As a key member of our veterinary team, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to our furry patients.

Job Summary:

The Licensed Veterinary Technician will be responsible for assisting veterinarians with medical procedures, taking vital signs, and providing exceptional patient care. You will also be responsible for maintaining accurate medical records, preparing patients for exams, and ensuring a clean and safe environment for our patients and staff.

Responsibilities:
  • Assist veterinarians with medical procedures, including surgeries and exams
  • Take vital signs, including temperature, pulse, and respiration rates
  • Provide exceptional patient care, including administering medications and performing lab tests
  • Maintain accurate medical records, including patient histories and treatment plans
  • Prepare patients for exams, including cleaning and restraining them as needed
  • Ensure a clean and safe environment for our patients and staff
Requirements:
  • Current licensure as a Veterinary Technician in the state of New York
  • Associate's degree or higher in Veterinary Technology
  • 1+ year of experience as a Veterinary Technician
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
