As a key member of the surgical team, your responsibilities will include:

  • Leading a clinical team and ensuring operational efficiency
  • Training new clinical staff members
  • Collaborating with doctors and management to enhance hospital operations
  • Educating clients
  • Conducting pre-surgical assessments
  • Providing post-operative care
  • Participating in case discussions with the doctor

Essential Qualifications:

  • Licensure in New York State
  • Proficient record-keeping abilities
  • Strong understanding of pharmacology
  • Comfortable working with both young and senior patients
  • Experience in training technicians and providing constructive feedback
  • Ability to perform CPR and knowledge of emergency medications
  • Exceptional organizational skills
  • Proven experience in leading a clinical team
  • Experience in onboarding new clinical staff

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 4+ years of experience as a licensed veterinary technician
  • Skills in anesthesia
  • Experience in surgical procedures
  • Aspirations to pursue Veterinary Technician Specialist (VTS) certification
