Job Overview

The Production Process Specialist is responsible for maintaining the efficiency and safety of production operations at Pencco, Inc. This role involves handling and monitoring chemicals, accurately recording data, and troubleshooting equipment issues. The successful candidate will adhere to safety and quality regulations, work collaboratively with team members, and enhance production efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Load and unload railcars, trucks, and tankers applicable to the plant's operations.
  • Store, retrieve, mix, and monitor chemicals used in production processes.
  • Accurately record information such as ingredients, weights, and temperatures, and input data into the database.
  • Troubleshoot issues with production equipment and processes.
  • Adhere to all company, local, state, and federal safety and quality regulations.
  • Report accidents, safety violations, or other concerns.
  • Assist in planning and improving processes and product quality.
  • Work effectively with team members to ensure efficient production operations.
  • Complete required training.

Requirements:

  • Ability to walk, stand, or sit for extended periods; climb, crouch, operate tools, and wear safety gear.
  • Experience operating heavy machinery, such as forklifts, excavators, front-end loaders, and bobcats, is preferred.
  • Understanding of chemical processes and laboratory testing of chemicals.
  • Basic mechanical and computer skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to lift 50lbs or more.

Education and Experience:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • More education or experience in a related field may be required.
