Job DescriptionJob DescriptionWe are in search of a Sr. Accountant to join our team in Nashotah, Wisconsin. This role involves coordinating financial closings, ensuring the integrity of financial statements, and preparing annual budgets. You will also be tasked with standard reporting, forecasting, and conducting operational analysis to facilitate process improvement.

Responsibilities:
• Oversee and coordinate the financial closing for all entities, including management of journal entries and preparation of financial statements.
• Ensure the integrity of divisional financial statements through period-end analysis and clarification of unusual transactions.
• Lead the preparation of the annual budget across various business units.
• Collaborate with Plant Controllers and Operations leadership to develop standard reporting through KPIs and analyze deviations from expected results.
• Coordinate periodic forecasting of business units throughout the year.
• Handle all account reconciliations and accruals, excluding Inventory, which is accounted for at the U.S. Plant level.
• Coordinate year-end audit with external auditors across all businesses.
• Manage year-end tax return preparation with third-party tax consultants.
• Work closely with VP Finance, Plant Controllers, and general managers at each location regarding costing and operational analysis to facilitate process improvement, KPI monitoring, and cost savings.
• Maintain and document accounting and operational policies and procedures related to company assets and liabilities.
• Manage the centralized fixed asset system and conduct periodic reporting and analysis.
• Create, upgrade, and provide internal management financial reports in a timely, accurate, relevant, and efficient manner.
• Play a significant role in the implementation, upgrade, or improvements made to ERP systems and processes to improve information, reporting, and profitability.• Outstanding proficiency in Month-end Close Activities, Month-end Journal Entries, Month-end Reports, Balance Sheet Reconciliation, and Account Reconciliation.
• Demonstrated ability to perform Root Cause Analysis, Variance Analysis, and Cost Accounting.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar role as a Sr. Accountant.
• Must hold a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation is a plus.
• Proficiency in using accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and work under pressure.
• Attention to detail and problem-solving ability.
• Proven ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Demonstrated knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
