Job Summary

The Ticket Office Lead will assist the Ticket Office Supervisor in all phases of ticket office operations, overseeing and providing instruction to ticket office staff, and completing high-level tasks such as subscription renewal and processing tele-sales orders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee pooled ticket office staff in day-to-day operations, including scheduling and clocking in/out.
  • Lead select CSUN performances on the night of show.
  • Process tele-sales orders, often in collaboration with external vendors.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
  • Equivalent to three years of full-time, general office clerical work, providing knowledge and abilities listed.
  • Equivalent to full-time college or university education/vocational school training in business or job-related field may be substituted for up to two years of required experience.
  • Experience in administrative work providing audience or patron services, performing arts support functions, or in a theatre-related setting preferred.
  • Ticket Office experience and current Red Cross certification in CPR and First Aid are preferred.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Knowledge of theatre etiquette, standards, and protocol, performing arts center and university facilities and/or policies a plus.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (i.e., Word and Excel).
  • Thorough knowledge of correct English grammar, spelling, and punctuation; office methods, procedures, and practices; and university infrastructure, policies, and procedures.
  • Ability to demonstrate excellent customer service and public relations skills, be outgoing and enjoy working with people, and exhibit exceptional dependability, flexibility, and patience in interactions with others.
  • Ability to work under pressure and adhere to deadlines, show a willingness and ability to handle emergency situations, and establish and maintain effective working relationships with guest artists, vendors, students, faculty, staff, clients, patrons, guests, peers, and upper management.
  • Ability to coordinate many different administrative duties, interpret and apply a variety of complex policies and procedures, set deadlines, and priorities, and complete projects accordingly.
Pay, Benefits, and Work Schedule
  • Classification: Administrative Support Assistant / 1032 / 2.
  • The anticipated hiring rate is $21.23 per hour, with a salary range of $21.23 - $31.25 per hour.
  • This is a temporary position with an end date to be determined.
  • The individual hired for this role will physically work on-campus in Northridge.
