Job Title: Dental Office Coordinator

Job Summary: We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Dental Office Coordinator to join our team at PDS Health. As a key member of our front office staff, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and ensuring a smooth and efficient experience for our patients.

Responsibilities:

  • Model Company Culture: Demonstrate a warm and approachable disposition to each patient, consistently providing a Perfect Patient Experience (PPE) and creating Patients for Life (PFL).
  • Support PPE Process: Help patients feel comfortable during their visit, ensuring they are connected with our team and receiving the best possible care.
  • Schedule Appointments: Ensure each healthcare provider has a smooth and productive day by scheduling appointments efficiently.
  • Interact with Patients: Communicate with patients and guests in the reception area during their wait time, providing a welcoming and professional experience.
  • Answer Phones: Handle all calls with efficiency and thoroughness, ensuring patients receive timely and accurate information.
  • Complete Front Office Checklist: Ensure all tasks are completed daily, maintaining a high level of organization and attention to detail.
  • Post Payments: Accurately post payments to patient accounts in accordance with Company policies.
  • Subject Matter Expert: Demonstrate expertise in practice management systems, ensuring patient registration, e-check in, and account information are accurate and up-to-date.
  • Confirm Appointments: Confirm patient appointments in accordance with office confirmation policies or a minimum of 2 days in advance.
  • Resolve Patient Messages: Return and resolve patient messages received from the Contact Center in a timely manner.
  • Participate in Meetings: Actively participate in daily morning huddles, monthly team meetings, and any other meetings as required.
  • Understand Business Imperatives: Demonstrate a thorough understanding of business imperatives and how the role directly impacts metrics.
  • Demonstrate PDS Brand: Make decisions consistent with the PDS Brand framework, demonstrating stewardship of the PDS Brand.
  • Support Clinician: Become knowledgeable and support the clinician on patient education regarding the Mouth-Body Connection.
  • Maintain Professional Appearance: Maintain an appropriate professional appearance and demeanor in accordance with company policies, addressing others professionally and respectfully.
  • Ensure Compliance: Ensure compliance with Company policies, as well as State, Federal, and other regulatory bodies.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma: High School Diploma or general education degree (GED)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Prior Course Work: Prior course work or on-the-job training in the fields of dentistry, insurance, or business

  • Office Practices: Knowledge of office practices, technology applications, and patient insurances
