Job Summary

This position is responsible for overseeing the maintenance and operations of Associated Students' facilities, including the Children's Center and Sustainability Center buildings. The ideal candidate will have experience in facilities management, sustainability, and education, with a strong understanding of building construction and associated trades.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and oversee maintenance and repairs of facilities, including grounds and building maintenance, custodial cleaning services, and security.
  • Develop and maintain working relationships with key internal and external partners to achieve collaboration and results through innovation and optimization of processes and procedures.
  • Coordinate and oversee security, alarm, and fire suppression/detection systems, and ensure compliance with applicable building, fire, electrical, and mechanical system standards and codes.
  • Develop, review, and assess proposals to meet conservation and energy efficiency needs, and research and implement methods to monitor and improve sustainability progress.
  • Supervise student assistants and oversee their performance evaluations and professional development.

Requirements:

  • Two or more years of experience in facilities management, sustainability, education, or management.
  • Advanced knowledge of policies, procedures, and outside regulations pertaining to facilities management.
  • Sound knowledge of health, safety, and environmental regulations.
  • Ability to lift up to 40 lbs and possess strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Access.
