Job Overview

Key Responsibilities:
  • Patient Assessment: Conduct thorough interviews and examinations of patients, review their medical histories, and perform necessary diagnostic tests to establish accurate diagnoses for primary care.
  • Patient Education: Counsel and educate patients, families, and community members on general health and wellness.
  • Prescriptive Authority: Prescribe medications and diagnostic tests as needed, adhering to established guidelines and formulary protocols.
  • Quality Assurance: Engage in ongoing evaluation processes to ensure high-quality healthcare delivery.
  • Infection Control: Follow all safety procedures and infection control standards set by the facility.
  • Referral Management: Manage patient referrals in accordance with established protocols.
Qualifications:

Applicants must provide the following documentation:

  • Certification from the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners.
  • A current, unrestricted license or registration from a recognized authority.
  • Board eligibility or certification.
  • Current DEA registration.
  • Current BLS and ACLS certifications.
  • Proof of education, including diploma or transcripts.

This position is classified as a TIER 1 role under Title 22: Employment Code of the Prairie Band Potawatomi Nation, with preference given to qualified individuals as required by law.
