Job Overview:
Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) is seeking a skilled Electronics Assembly Technician to join our innovative team in Huntsville, Alabama.

Key Responsibilities:


- Execute all electronic assembly operations on circuit card assemblies and subassemblies, either independently or as part of a collaborative, high-performance team.

- Conduct basic rework and modifications on circuit card components as required.
- Utilize and operate various shop tools and equipment, including measuring instruments, optics, and lasers.

- Operate a range of shop equipment such as Surface Mount Technology (SMT), circuit board cleaning systems, conformal coating application equipment, selective soldering, wave soldering equipment, reflow ovens, screen printing machines, plated through hole (PTH) equipment, Automated Optical Inspection (AOI), and pick and place machines.

- Perform maintenance on machinery and tooling, including machine setup tasks to prepare for production activities, adhering to inspection checklists.

- Document results in compliance with applicable procedures and collect data for statistical process control analysis.

- Carry out assembly tasks using detailed work instructions and other relevant technical documentation, including CCA technical drawings, schematics, and process specifications.
- Complete assignments related to fabrication, installation, adjustment, and connections, ensuring proper alignment and fit.

- Utilize electrical and electronic test instruments to troubleshoot at the component level and document any non-conformances.

- Execute approved rework, modifications, and repairs according to technical documentation and formal directives.

- Assist in defining, implementing, and monitoring the execution of work scopes.

- Develop and assemble approved shop aids and devices necessary for testing or maintaining circuit card assemblies.

- Conduct self-inspections as required and certified.

- Recommend improvements to CCA equipment and processes based on studies and evaluations that enhance product and process quality.

- Analyze product data, test results, and rejection history to identify root causes of issues and assist in developing corrective actions.

- Perform chemical cleaning, surface finishing, and conformal coating in accordance with specifications.
- Manage critical handling tasks and operate specialized electrical and mechanical equipment.
- Maintain CCA charts, logs, records, and reports, including hazardous waste handling if qualified.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of a High School Diploma or GED.
- Experience in a manufacturing or assembly environment is required.

Preferred Skills:
- Experience in circuit card and electronics manufacturing.
- Proficiency in soldering and electronics repair at the component level.

Education:
- High School diploma and an Associate's Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Work Environment:
- This position requires on-site work and may involve shift work.
- Candidates must be able to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance, requiring U.S. Citizenship.

Compensation:
- Pay range: $20.00/Hr. - $26.00/Hr.
