SAIC is seeking a dedicated Electronics Assembly Specialist to join our HWIL Modeling Simulation Development (HMSD) team. The successful candidate will ideally have a background in electronics, either through technical education or military experience.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform soldering of surface mount components on printed circuit boards.
  • Assist in testing and troubleshooting circuit card assemblies.
  • Assemble and integrate computer hardware circuits and components for training devices.
  • Conduct a variety of complex electro-mechanical assembly tasks.
  • Utilize tools such as multi-meters, drills, soldering irons, and precision measuring instruments under limited supervision.
  • Follow verbal and written instructions, including schematics and engineering drawings, to complete assembly tasks.
  • Assemble cables, crimp pins, and perform continuity checks according to wiring diagrams.
  • Execute quality checks to ensure high standards are met.

Qualifications:
Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree with a minimum of two (2) years of relevant experience; or four (4) years of experience in lieu of a degree.
Clearance Requirements:
  • Must possess an Interim Secret clearance with the capability to obtain a full Secret Clearance.
Essential Skills:
  • Proficient in soldering and assembly of electronic components.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing workloads and skill requirements.
