Position Summary:

The Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) division is excited to present an opportunity for an Electronic Circuit Assembly Technician to join our dynamic team.


Key Responsibilities:


- Execute all electronic circuit assembly operations on electronic/electrical assemblies and subassemblies, either independently or as part of a collaborative, high-performance team.

- Conduct basic rework and modifications to circuit card components and assemblies as per specifications.
- Utilize and operate shop tools and equipment, including measuring instruments and optics.

- Operate various types of shop equipment such as Surface Mount Technology (SMT), circuit board cleaning systems, conformal coating application equipment, selective soldering or wave soldering equipment, reflow ovens, screen printing equipment, plated through hole (PTH) equipment, Automated Optical Inspection (AOI), and pick and place equipment.

- Maintain and service machines and tooling, and perform machine setup tasks to prepare for production activities, adhering to inspection checklists.

- Document results in compliance with applicable procedures.
- Gather and input data for statistical process control analysis, working under general supervision.

- Carry out assembly tasks using detailed work instructions and various technical documentation, including CCA technical drawings, 2D & 3D models, schematics, circuit/wiring diagrams, and process specifications.

- Complete assembly work and related tasks such as fabrication, installation, adjustment, fit checks, fastener alignment, connections, and subassembly.

- Utilize electrical and CCA-related electronic test instruments and measurement tools to troubleshoot at the component level.

- Document non-conformances at the component level.

- Perform approved rework, modifications, repairs, and incorporate changes per technical documentation and formal directives for electrical, electronic, and mechanical systems.

- Assist in defining, implementing, and monitoring the execution of work scope.

- Develop and assemble approved shop aids and devices necessary for the adjustment, testing, or maintenance of circuit card assemblies.

- Conduct self-examinations and inspections as certified and required.

- Recommend refinements to CCA equipment and integration processes through studies and evaluations that lead to product and process enhancements.

- Analyze product, processes, test data, and rejection history to identify root causes of issues and assist in developing corrective actions.- Perform chemical cleaning, surface finishing, conformal coating, and marking in accordance with specifications and procedures.
- Execute critical handling tasks and operate specialized electrical, electronic, mechanical, and support equipment.
- Maintain CCA charts, logs, records, and reports.
- Duties may include handling hazardous waste (if qualified).
- Maintain licenses, permits, and certifications necessary for CCA work.
This position requires the ability to obtain a US Security Clearance, which mandates US Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance is required post-start.

Basic Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Experience in a manufacturing or assembly environment.
- Availability to work any shift.
- Proficiency in using hand and/or pneumatic tools.

Preferred Qualifications:
- Familiarity with Department of Defense (DoD) & NASA Assembly Soldering Specifications.
- Experience with J-Std-001.
- Background in circuit card and/or electronics manufacturing.
- Skills in soldering and electronics repair at the component level.
