Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Equipment Engineer to join our team at Precision Coating. As an Equipment Engineer, you will be responsible for the design, building, and maintenance of process equipment, as well as identifying opportunities for process and equipment improvement.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and Maintenance of Control Systems: Design and maintain control systems for semi-automated processing equipment, ensuring optimal performance and efficiency.
  • Equipment Certification: Arrange equipment to meet NFPA 79 Standard requirements.
  • Troubleshooting and Repair: Troubleshoot and repair complex electro-mechanical equipment, resolving issues efficiently.
  • Equipment Maintenance and Upgrades: Maintain and upgrade existing process control systems, ensuring they are operating at maximum efficiency.
  • Process Fixturing and Control Systems: Design and fabricate process fixturing and implement new process control systems.
  • Training and Development: Train technicians on the operation of equipment and develop and document procedures for training personnel.
  • Calibration and Maintenance Programs: Oversee the Maintenance Program and manage the Calibration Program.
  • Drawings and Documentation: Create and manage drawings in support of production processes.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Physics, Computer Engineering, or equivalent degree.
  • Programming Skills: Proficiency in LabVIEW programming.
  • Electro-Mechanical Skills: Strong knowledge of electrical, pneumatic, plumbing, and High vacuum system skills.
  • CAD Experience: Experience with CAD software, preferably Fusion 360 or SolidWorks.
  • Hardware Experience: Experience with National Instruments hardware.
  • Electronics Knowledge: Good practical knowledge of digital and analog electronics.
  • Design and Control Systems: Ability to design control systems and motion control systems.
  • Wiring and Mechanical Skills: Hands-on wiring ability and mechanical aptitude.
  • Communication Skills: Strong verbal and presentation skills.
  • Physical Demands: Ability to sit, stand, walk, and carry items of less than 50lbs.
  • Language Skills: Ability to read and interpret documents written in English and communicate effectively with colleagues and management.
