Job Overview:
Digital Prospectors is seeking a Principal Electrical Engineer to spearhead advancements in medical diagnostic technologies. This pivotal role involves overseeing significant product innovations, employing sophisticated engineering methodologies, and providing mentorship to junior engineers. The ideal candidate will possess a unique combination of technical acumen, project management skills, and strong communication abilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead product lines or projects, ensuring they are completed on schedule and meet established timelines.
- Formulate and document design controls while contributing to comprehensive technical documentation.
- Strategically plan, execute, and prioritize intricate tasks in alignment with corporate objectives.
- Design and develop testing methodologies, specifications, and technical solutions for complex components.
- Evaluate and suggest design alternatives based on performance and cost considerations.
- Identify, document, and rectify product issues effectively.
- Articulate technical information clearly to cross-functional teams.
- Offer technical mentorship and guidance to engineers and technicians.
- Assist in CAPA and complaint investigation processes.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Science, or a related discipline with 12 years of experience in product development, or 8-10 years with an advanced degree (experience in in-vitro medical devices is advantageous).
- A minimum of 10 years of experience in FPGA design or embedded DSP software.
- Expertise in digital and analog circuitry and mixed-signal devices.
- Experience in the design and management of control systems.
- Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills at the system level.
- Proficient in creating and testing simulation models and hardware.
- Familiarity with compliance concepts and testing protocols.
- Knowledge of power electronics and distribution systems.
- Demonstrated success in product lifecycle management, project leadership, and effective communication.
