Position Title: Electrical Mechanical Specialist

Objective: To effectively execute assigned tasks within the Electrical-Mechanical Specialist classification for Golf Ball Manufacturing Operations. The role requires independent management of all aspects related to Electrical-Mechanical responsibilities. This includes analyzing, troubleshooting, and ensuring the reliability of production machinery while engaging in preventative and predictive maintenance practices. Clear communication with colleagues and Team Leaders is essential, particularly in continuous improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Independently diagnose, repair, and refurbish various complex electrical/electronic, hydraulic, and pneumatic production machinery with skill and adaptability.
  • Organize work to ensure optimal operational sequences, minimizing production delays.
  • Conduct preventive maintenance as per the established equipment schedule.
  • Reconstruct electrical mechanical apparatus.
  • Collaborate with Engineering to design, select, modify, or adapt equipment or processes to meet specific project needs.
  • Test, calibrate, and repair electronic, mechanical, and electromechanical instruments to ensure compliance with established standards, assisting in the development of calibration standards.
  • Maintain accurate work records (work orders, PMs, materials, and parts) within the Maintenance system.

Qualifications:
  • Candidates must fulfill one of the following educational and experience criteria: 1. Successful completion of TPC educational requirements and a minimum of 3 years of experience in an electrical discipline focused on maintaining and repairing industrial equipment; or 2. An approved Technical Associate Degree/College Level certificate in Electrical/Electronic Discipline along with a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience; or 3. A minimum of 7 years of industrial experience in a skilled trade with an electrical focus, without formal post-secondary education. Completion of TPC educational requirements for any identified skills gaps is required.
  • Possession of personal trade tools is necessary.
  • Ability to install, repair, troubleshoot, and maintain machinery and equipment is essential.
  • Formal training in AC/DC circuits and basic PLC function, along with a working knowledge of mechanical systems and instrumentation & controls experience.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with effective verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Knowledge of safe work practices, including Lock Out-Tag Out and NFPA - 70E.
  • Proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking English.
  • Ability to follow manufacturing and equipment specifications.
  • Demonstrated mechanical skills and techniques.
  • Capability to perform basic mathematical calculations.
  • Experience using blueprints and schematics, with knowledge of hydraulic and/or electrical schematics.
  • Competence in computer usage.
  • Understanding of measuring devices and tolerances.
  • Experience with various hand, power, and machine tools such as drills, lathes, and mills.
  • Commitment to learning and applying quality standards of workmanship and product.
  • Strong work ethic and adherence to operational hours, including strict attendance expectations.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and collaboratively within a team.
  • Respect for organizational policies and procedures, particularly concerning Safety and Quality.
  • Demonstrated respect for colleagues through effective communication with peers, team leaders, and management.
  • Successful completion of all Health Services testing requirements for this position.
