Job Overview:
Digital Prospectors is seeking a Principal Electrical Engineer to spearhead advancements in medical diagnostic technologies. This pivotal role involves overseeing significant product initiatives, employing cutting-edge engineering methodologies, and providing mentorship to less experienced engineers. The ideal candidate will possess a unique combination of technical acumen, leadership capabilities, and strong communication skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage projects or product lines, ensuring adherence to timelines and project milestones.
- Develop and document design controls while contributing to comprehensive technical documentation.
- Plan, execute, and prioritize intricate tasks in alignment with organizational objectives.
- Design and create testing methodologies, specifications, and technical solutions for complex components.
- Evaluate and propose design alternatives based on cost-effectiveness and performance metrics.
- Identify, document, and rectify product discrepancies.
- Effectively communicate technical details to multidisciplinary teams.
- Provide technical mentorship and guidance to engineers and technicians.
- Support Corrective and Preventive Action (CAPA) and complaint resolution processes.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Science, or a related discipline with a minimum of 12 years of experience in product development, or 8-10 years with an advanced degree (experience in in-vitro medical devices is advantageous).
- 10 years of experience in FPGA design or embedded DSP software.
- Proficient in digital and analog circuitry as well as mixed-signal devices.
- Experience in designing and managing control systems.
- Strong system-level troubleshooting and analytical skills.
- Experience in developing and testing simulation models and hardware.
- Understanding of compliance standards and testing protocols.
- Knowledge of power electronics and distribution systems.
- Demonstrated success in product lifecycle management, project leadership, and effective communication.
