Job Title: Medical Screener

At BioLife Plasma Services, we are committed to providing a safe and healthy environment for our donors and employees. We are seeking a Medical Screener to join our team.

Job Summary:

The Medical Screener will be responsible for determining donor eligibility, managing donor adverse events, reviewing laboratory test results, and notifying donors of unsuitable test results. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of regulations in the plasma collection industry and/or a manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Determine donor eligibility accurately and in a timely manner, including proper management of informed consent, AIDS education, and confidential self-exclusion.
  • Evaluate and manage donor reaction(s) at the facility, following applicable SOPs.
  • Refer to the Center Physician or Medical Affairs when needed for guidance on medical or technical issues, including donor safety and eligibility.
  • Assist the EHS program as required, including conducting pre-placement evaluations of new hires and maintaining employee medical records.
  • Support the Hepatitis B and Seasonal Flu vaccination programs for employees, as applicable.
  • Administer first aid to employees as needed and act as Pandemic Coordinator when authorized by EHS.
Requirements:
  • Graduate of a recognized educational program.
  • Bachelor's Degree preferred.
  • Minimum of two years in a clinical or hospital setting preferred.
