Job SummaryWe are seeking a Medical Support Specialist to join our team at BioLife Plasma Services. As a Medical Support Specialist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safety and well-being of our donors and employees.
Key Responsibilities- Determine donor eligibility accurately and in a timely manner, including proper management of informed consent, medical history interview, and physical examination.
- Evaluate and manage donor reaction(s) that occur at the facility, following applicable SOPs.
- Manage donor deferral, reviewing test results and notifying donors of unsuitable test results per applicable SOPs.
- Initiate and investigate Post Donation Information (PDI), referring to the Center Physician or Medical Affairs as needed.
- Assist the EHS program as required, including conducting pre-placement evaluations of new hires and maintaining employee medical records.
- Graduate of a recognized educational program.
- Minimum of two years in a clinical or hospital setting preferred.
