Building Maintenance Supervisor

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Building Maintenance Supervisor to join our team at the City of Worcester, MA. As a key member of our facilities management team, you will be responsible for overseeing the maintenance and upkeep of our police headquarters facility and remote police substations.
Key Responsibilities:- Supervise and coordinate daily maintenance and custodial activities for police headquarters and substation facilities.
- Develop and implement facility care and maintenance plans to ensure the security, cleanliness, and safe conditions of all facilities and equipment.
- Manage and execute all facility preventive maintenance programs for electrical and mechanical systems, including elevators, alarms, and fire protection systems.
- Handle correspondence and communicate with City of Worcester staff, police department staff, and vendors and consumers outside and within the facility.
- Provide direct supervision and oversight of all facility division staff, plan, organize, and direct work assignments, and manage performance.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Five (5) years of experience working in general construction, HVAC, plumbing, electrical, fire suppression and alarm systems, boiler systems, roofs, hazardous materials, and/or digital controls.
- Two (2) years of experience in custodial, repair, and/or maintenance work.
- Prior supervisory experience.
- Possession of a valid and current motor vehicle operator's license.
- Associate degree in construction management or in a related field.
- One (1) year of supervisory experience.
$35.90 per hour, full-time, with an excellent benefits package.
