Job Summary

Notre Dame Health Care is seeking a skilled Maintenance Supervisor to oversee and coordinate maintenance activities within our skilled nursing and assisted living facilities. The ideal candidate will ensure a safe and well-maintained environment for residents, staff, and visitors.

Key Responsibilities

Oversee and coordinate maintenance activities within our skilled nursing and assisted living facilities.
Ensure a safe and well-maintained environment for residents, staff, and visitors.
Provide supervision, guidance, and support to Maintenance Workers and Janitors, ensuring they execute assigned tasks efficiently and according to established policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
Coordinate daily plant service and maintenance assignments within NDHC facilities. Assure that personnel are performing tasks in accordance with established procedures and deadlines.
Establish and maintain a proactive approach to safety by identifying potential hazards and implementing corrective actions promptly.
Maintain comprehensive knowledge of skilled nursing and assisted living life safety and OSHA regulations and ensure compliance.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical certifications or education in related maintenance fields is preferred.
Minimum 5-years of experience in maintenance required. 2-years maintenance experience within a skilled nursing facility preferred.
Strong knowledge and understanding of life safety regulations specific to skilled nursing facilities and OSHA requirements required.
Demonstrated leadership abilities and previous experience in supervising maintenance teams.
Proficient in performing general maintenance tasks such as carpentry, plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and carpentry.
Excellent organizational and time-management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
Intermediate level proficiency use of Microsoft Word, Outlook, and basic understanding of Excel required. Previous experience using electronic plant management database systems (Example: TELS) strongly preferred.
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make sound decisions under pressure.
Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interact professionally with residents, staff, and vendors.
Proficient computer skills, including experience with maintenance management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
Possess a valid motor vehicle driver's license and have a satisfactory driving record.
Must be able to work a flexible work schedule that may include weekends or nights and a regular on-call rotation schedule.
