As an Underwriting Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting our underwriting team by processing large volumes of work, meeting strict service guarantees, and providing exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Process underwriting applications efficiently and accurately, meeting or exceeding service guarantees.
  • Communicate effectively with internal associates, resolving issues and providing timely updates.
  • Utilize strong typing skills, meeting or exceeding 5500-8000 keystrokes per hour, to complete tasks efficiently.
  • Work collaboratively with the underwriting team to meet departmental service goals and turnaround times.
  • Develop and implement process enhancements to improve efficiency and productivity.
Requirements:
  • Strong listening and analytical skills to resolve complex issues.
  • Excellent Excel spreadsheet skills to analyze and present data.
  • Ability to work well under pressure, managing multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to build effective relationships with colleagues and clients.
