The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting in quality improvement and safety event reviews, collecting data for purposes of quality and safety process improvement programs, and investigating and analyzing critical events.
Key responsibilities include:
- Investigating and analyzing critical events to identify areas for improvement
- Collecting and organizing data for quality and safety process improvement programs
- Representing the Department of Medicine at QA and patient safety activities throughout the hospital
- Liaising with hospital Risk Management administrators, the MGH Center for Quality and Safety, and other departments as needed
- Providing leadership and project management on Departmental initiatives to ensure change management
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of experience in a Medicine-related arena, with at least 3 years of experience in an inpatient setting. A Bachelor's degree is required, with a Master's degree in Nursing or Patient Safety preferred.

- Sound analytical and problem-solving capability
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Proficiency in prioritizing and accomplishing multiple tasks concurrently
- Demonstrated success in working with physicians in a collaborative team setting
