Pediatric Gastroenterology Nurse Leader

Mass General Brigham is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Pediatric Gastroenterology Nurse Leader to join our team. As a key member of our nursing leadership team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care, leading and developing our nursing team, and contributing to the advancement of our pediatric gastroenterology program.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide direct care and coordinate the provision of care by members of the nursing team and medical assistants
  • Develop and implement nursing care and treatment plans, identifying patient care needs and utilizing nursing resources appropriately
  • Supervise and work with the nursing team to triage patient phone calls, laboratory call-backs, manage EPIC In Basket, and renew prescription refill requests
  • Coordinate, quality, and execute patient care activities such as nurse visits, including documentation, nurse triage, and patient education
  • Collaborate with the Pediatric Ambulatory Nurse Leader and MGH Ambulatory Management team on matters related to nursing practice and standards of care
  • Participate in the Division's Quality Program as a triad member, responsible for reviewing quality data, leading quality improvement initiatives, and attending MGHfC Quality and Safety Meetings
Requirements:
  • Demonstrates clinical knowledge and critical thinking in the care of pediatric gastroenterology patients
  • Demonstrates leadership/managerial potential, including interpersonal competence and organizational skills
  • Ability to delegate and prioritize for self and others
  • Ability to analyze complex situations and implement problem-solving skills

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Current Massachusetts' licensure as a Registered Nurse in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts
  • CPR certification
  • Graduated from an accredited Nursing Program
  • Bachelor's of Science in Nursing
  • 3-5 years of experience
  • 1-2 years of managerial experience
