About the Role

Abbott Laboratories is seeking a skilled Demand Planner to join our team in Lake Forest, IL, or other global locations. As a Demand Planner, you will play a critical role in managing the demand forecast through coordination with commercial, finance, supply chain, and marketing organizations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Establish and maintain accurate demand forecasts through data assimilation and reporting.
  • Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to build demand forecasts based on business trends and sales pipeline.
  • Generate demand forecasts to inform management approval of annual and quarterly financial plans.
  • Analyze and troubleshoot demand-related issues in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Develop and maintain routine and ad-hoc demand-related reports for management.
  • Support the business unit head in monthly sales and operations planning (S&OP) process and executive meetings.
  • Own demand planning monthly KPI performance and root cause analysis to identify areas for improvement.
Requirements
  • Minimum 4 years' experience in demand planning or a related field.
  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, business, or a related field.
  • Demonstrated success in influencing senior leadership and cross-functional teams.
  • Experience building processes and managing change.
  • Proven analytical and problem-solving skills to enable the review of historical sales trends, demand drivers, and forecast data.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to balance multiple projects and prioritize under tight deadlines.
  • Experience with Tableau, PowerBI, or other visualization tools.
