Exciting Opportunity Ahead: Seeking a Strategic Leader in Asset Management

Based in a dynamic market, the Director will report to the separate account portfolio managers and will be responsible for overseeing all strategic, transactional, and operational aspects of a designated portfolio primarily consisting of office and industrial properties across the nation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop tailored strategic plans for each asset, focusing on individual property needs such as valuations, cash flow forecasts, and the review and approval of annual operating and capital budgets.
  • Establish, refine, and implement redevelopment, leasing, and sales strategies while managing relationships with regional partners and third-party service providers, including property management.
  • Proactively assess and respond to changing market conditions to maximize asset performance.
  • Oversee the budgeting process for all properties under management.
  • Collaborate with leasing teams, regional partners, and external contractors to structure, negotiate, review, and finalize leases within the asset portfolio.
  • Monitor the performance of assigned properties against established plans and budgets.
  • Anticipate cash flow requirements for assets and investors, manage cash transactions, and oversee all disbursements.
  • Deliver high-quality reporting to lenders and investors.
  • Support the execution of acquisitions, financing, and refinancing initiatives as necessary.
  • Keep senior management, clients, and investors informed about evolving strategies and outcomes.
  • Provide strategic, investment, and analytical guidance to regional partners, third-party service providers, and internal teams in developing and executing asset and portfolio strategies.

Qualifications:

Successful candidates will possess a minimum of seven to ten years of proven experience in managing a diverse portfolio of complex commercial real estate, including office, industrial, multifamily, and medical office properties. Experience in asset and portfolio reporting is highly desirable.

  • A strong track record of leadership and success, showcasing a hands-on approach to operations, leasing, development, capital markets, financing, marketing, investment, and ownership issues in managing challenging, value-add real estate.
  • Ability to influence key performance metrics and consistently exceed ambitious investment return objectives.
  • Experience in creating value throughout all phases of a property's lifecycle, from acquisition to disposition.
  • Proficiency in analyzing and interpreting complex financial statements, leases, and loan agreements.
  • Capability to effectively mentor and manage junior analysts and associates to enhance productivity.
  • Experience in managing and holding regional partner relationships accountable at both development and operational levels.
  • Awareness of industry trends and competitor activities.
  • A collaborative team player thriving in a professional environment that encourages empowered decision-making.
  • Strong proficiency in software applications including Excel, Word, and ARGUS.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to resolve conflicts constructively.
  • Exceptional oral and written communication abilities.
  • Unwavering integrity and a robust work ethic.
  • A bachelor's degree is required.
