Position: Head of Security Compliance Management

At Expedia Group, we hold the belief that travel is a powerful force for good in the world. The Expedia Security & Privacy Organization is on the lookout for a highly driven and collaborative Head of Security Compliance Management. This role is pivotal in steering the overall development, execution, and upkeep of the Global Compliance Program, addressing regulatory requirements such as PCI-DSS, GDPR/CCPA, and more. This position will act as a key liaison between internal and external audit teams to integrate compliance regulations and controls, safeguarding Expedia's assets and data on a global scale.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate closely with Product & Technology, risk management, cybersecurity, and business leaders to embed compliance practices and industry standards.
  • Design and implement a robust Global Cybersecurity compliance program, encompassing PCI-DSS, SOC2, GDPR, CCPA, HIPAA, NIST, ISO, and others.
  • Oversee a formal Compliance Governance process that aligns and prioritizes security initiatives.
  • Develop and present executive dashboard reports on compliance events, findings, and achievements to senior management and key stakeholders.
  • Manage the Global Compliance Program, including conducting necessary testing and assessments.
  • Partner with internal and external auditors to validate compliance controls.
  • Lead compliance teams in documenting, communicating, and enforcing security enhancements.
  • Create, prioritize, and manage the annual scope of technology compliance obligations.
  • Identify, document, and ensure closure of any compliance gaps.
  • Assess security controls and recommend improvements.
  • Attract, manage, develop, and retain talent to ensure optimal performance of the Compliance function in Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC).

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Information Technology, Information Management, Risk, Audit, Compliance, or a related technical field; or equivalent professional experience.
  • Over 10 years of relevant experience.
  • Proven understanding of PCI DSS and related frameworks (NIST, ISO, SOC2).
  • Experience with both legacy and emerging technology solutions.
  • Familiarity with cloud service providers (AWS, Google Cloud Platform, Microsoft Azure), virtualization, and security management is preferred.
  • Strong organizational management skills, with experience leading diverse technical and business unit teams.

Compensation: The total cash range for this position in Austin is $187,500.00 to $262,000. Employees in this role have the potential to increase their pay based on ongoing performance.
