Position Summary: The Food and Beverage Operations Manager, reporting to the General Manager, is responsible for overseeing daily operations in a premier senior living environment. This role requires outstanding communication abilities, multitasking skills, and effective team leadership to ensure top-notch food and beverage quality alongside excellent customer service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Schedule, train, manage, and develop staff effectively.
- Oversee budget management and inventory control.
- Train and supervise the service of alcoholic beverages.
- Assist in organizing catering events related to meal services.
- Establish and manage beverage programs and seasonal specials.
- Procure both alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages.
- Collaborate with culinary and marketing teams to manage the culinary program.
- Maintain positive relationships with staff, clients, and production teams.
- Work with vendors to optimize cost efficiency.
- Coordinate with venue managers to maximize attendance and staffing.
- Oversee financial operations of bar and concession stand services.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Proven experience in managing teams with strong communication skills.
- Excellent computer proficiency and self-motivation.
- Ability to manage large inventories and budgets effectively.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
- Strong leadership qualities with a focus on detail and creativity.
- Knowledge of market trends and business operations.
- Experience in finance, loss prevention, and human resources.
- Preferred educational background in management, particularly in the beverage sector.
- Certification in service training, alcohol service, safe food handling, and first aid.
- Familiarity with state and local alcohol regulations.
- Certification from the National Bar & Restaurant Management Association is a plus.
- Open to working a schedule driven by events.
