About the Position
The Yang research laboratory at the University of Minnesota is seeking a dedicated research scientist with expertise in microfluidics to spearhead a project focused on the movement of bacteria within porous materials and multiphase flow dynamics.
Key Responsibilities:
1. **Laboratory Experiments (75%)**: Conduct hands-on experiments related to microfluidics.
2. **Collaboration and Reporting (25%)**: Work closely with the Principal Investigator to prepare technical documentation, apply for research funding, and present findings at academic conferences.
Qualifications:
- A PhD in Engineering or a related scientific discipline is required by the time of hire.
- Experience in a laboratory setting is essential.
- A background in fluid mechanics and practical laboratory experiments is preferred.
- Skills in data analysis and image processing are advantageous.
